In Mumbai, BMW Motorrad has launched the much-anticipated GS Experience 2023 training program. This program provides BMW adventure motorcyclists with a unique opportunity to explore the remarkable capabilities of BMW Motorrad’s class-leading GS range in its natural environment. The two-day training sessions are exclusively designed for BMW GS owners and will take place at BAR-Academy of Motorcycling on Vajreshwari Road in Mumbai, Maharashtra, on March 4-5, 2023.
In addition to Mumbai, BMW Motorrad will conduct the GS Experience in 11 other cities across India, including Delhi, Chandigarh, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kochi, Bengaluru, and Lucknow.
The two-day level 1 program is intended solely for BMW GS owners and will teach them the basics of off-road riding. The day 1 training program is for BMW GS owners of 650 cc and above GS bikes, while day 2 is for BMW 310 GS riders. The training includes familiarizing oneself with the motorcycle, understanding proper rider positioning, and practicing techniques such as gravel riding, emergency stops on slopes, emergency braking, and riding on inclines. Upon successful completion of level 1 training, riders automatically qualify for level 2 training.
The GS Experience training also marks the beginning of the nationwide search for ‘Team India,’ a trio of GS riders who will form a team to compete in the prestigious International GS Trophy. Namibia has been chosen as the location for the next International GS Trophy in 2024, and BMW Motorrad India will conduct the GS Trophy qualifiers later this year.
The GS Experience offers a glimpse into the dynamic qualities of each GS model in real-world situations, as well as techniques for experiencing the Spirit of GS while maintaining the highest safety standards. Each session includes a briefing and demonstration by a certified BMW Motorrad Trainer who will guide riders through the impressive range of technologies available on the GS range of motorcycles. The sessions offer a combination of on-road and off-road riding experiences under the supervision of experts.
