RPM Devices

Business

A remote patient monitoring device monitors a patient’s health vitals. It makes it possible for healthcare providers to use a remote monitoring device to keep track of the patient’s health information. The healthcare industry uses a variety of RPM wearable technologies.
Common RPM Devices
1. Blood Pressure Monitor
FDA-approved blood pressure monitor that automatically syncs with a mobile app and records heart rate and systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
2. Smart Weight Scale
Weight, BMI, body fat, lean mass, and hydration are all measured by this medical-grade scale, which communicates wirelessly. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scales that are integrated into RPM portals
3. Blood Glucose Monitor
The glucose meter syncs quickly to help control diabetes and replaces the patient’s home meter. Cellular blood glucose monitors that transmit insulin results in real time.
4. Pulse Oximeter
Oximeter tracks heart rate and SpO₂ for COVID-19, sleep apnea, CHF, and COPD, and it uploads data in real time to the physician dashboard. Multiparameter hubs incorporate a wearable finger clip or ring-type device.
5. Fitness Tracker
Tracker synchronizes with the RPM device to measure steps, distance, calories, and active time, and promotes patient involvement. Third-party integration is used to support wearables.
6. Heart Rhythm Monitors, or ECG
Atrial fibrillation detection using portable single-lead ECG patches, continuous or on-demand recording. Handheld ECG devices with Bluetooth capabilities for periodic rhythm checks.
7. Respiratory Sensors and Spirometers
Handheld spirometers measure FEV₁/FVC for COPD and asthma treatment, and the results are sent to the RPM portal. Wearable respiration rate monitors that use adhesive patches or chest straps.
8. Thermometer
For fever surveillance, use digital thermometers with Bluetooth or cellular uplink. Skin-patch temperature sensors for ongoing infection and post-operative monitoring.
