Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Srinagar – Local Sightseeing
Welcome to Srinagar, the Lake City. On arrival at the Srinagar Airport. you will be received by Tour My India’s representative / driver.
After the check- in, proceed for sightseeing in Srinagar. Visit the world-famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love), and Chasme Shahi Garden, and also pay visit to the Shankaracharya Temple.
Later in the evening proceed for shikara riding in Dal lake.
Overnight Srinagar Houseboat.
Nishat Garden : The second-largest Mughal Garden in Kashmir, Nishat sits on the eastern side of Dal Lake and is a must-visit place to add to the sightseeing tour. A terraced garden, Nishat Bagh was built in 1633 AD by Asaf Khan, brother of Mughal Empress, Noor Jahan.
Shalimar Garden : The Shalimar Bagh is the largest of the three Mughal Gardens in Srinagar. The beautiful garden was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Jahangir in 1619 for his wife Noor Jahan. Also called the Garden of Delight, Shalimar Bagh is a three-terraced garden and its main highlight is Chini Khanas or arched niches.
Chashme Shahi : The smallest of the three Mughal Gardens in Srinagar, Chashme Shahi is primarily famous for its cold water spring which is believed to have medicinal properties. This popular garden was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a gift for his elder son, Dara Shikoh.
About Srinagar : The summer capital, Srinagar is known for its natural beauty, rich history, and unique experience of staying a houseboat. The city is home to the sacred shrine of Hazratbal, where it is believed the hair strand of Prophet Mohammad is preserved. Apart from this, Srinagar is famous for shikara rides of Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens, Pari Mahal, and Hari Parbat Fort.
Day 2
Srinagar, Pahalgam: Leisure day at Pahalgam
Head on to Pahalgam for sightseeing and adventure activities.
Day 2 of your Kashmir tour package starts with a delicious breakfast in the houseboat, after which you will be transferred to Pahalgam. On the way, you can stop at Martand Sun Temple – a popular tourist attraction.
Head to the hotel in Pahalgam for check-in and lunch. The evening is free for you to explore the surroundings and relax.
End the day with a delicious dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Pahalgam.
Distance from Dal Lake to Pahalgam: 92 km
Travel Time: 2 hours
Optional: Pony ride to the Baisaran Valley, visit to Betaab Valley, white water rafting in the Aru Valley.
Tip: To try local Kashmiri cuisine, such as Dum Aloo, Gushtaba, Rogan Josh, Yakhni, and Kawa, inform the in-house restaurant beforehand.
Day 3
Srinagar to Gulmarg. Enjoy Asia’s Highest Gandola Ride
Wake up in the morning, have your breakfast and get ready for the day.
We will then take you to Gulmarg – that appears straight out of painting.
Board your vehicle for a 2-hour scenic drive to Gulmarg, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan snow-clad peaks and the scenic vistas of Tanmarg.
Upon reaching Gulmarg, embark on the highest gondola ride in Gulmarg – which offers stunning views of the Kashmir Valley.
Later, check in to your hotel and visit one of Asia’s highest Golf Course of Gulmarg, followed by a visit to a church.
You can then, spend the rest of the day at leisure..
In Gulmarg, you can indulge in a number of winter adventure sports like skiing, snowboarding, etc.
After exploring Gulmarg, return back to your hotel for dinner.
Overnight stay in Gulmarg.
Day 4
Sonamarg to Srinagar (87 Km’s / 3-4 hours drive)
After breakfast, pack your bags and check out from the hotel. Further we continue our journey to Srinagar. It is around 87 Km’s from Sonamarg and will take 3-4 hours to reach. On arrival, transfer to the hotel for check in and relax. Later go for a 60 Minutes Shikara ride in Dal Lake. This boat ride glides you past some wonderful vegetable gardens and aquatic life. Later return to the hotel & have dinner.
Overnight stay at hotel in Srinagar. (Breakfast + Dinner)
Day 5
Departure. Depart with a bag of happy memories.
Post breakfast in the morning, get ready to board your return transfers.
Depart with a lot of memories to cherish.
