Maruti Suzuki has just rolled out the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition, and it’s exclusively available in the robust hybrid Alpha+ variant. This limited-edition beauty showcases a striking matte black finish, a first for any Maruti vehicle. On the outside, you’ll notice the sleek matte black exterior, a de-chromed look, a blacked-out front grille, and stylish 17-inch alloy wheels that shine in gloss black.
Inside, the cabin keeps the all-black theme from the standard models, featuring perforated faux leather upholstery complemented by champagne gold accents. Standout features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a nine-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, wireless charging, and smart connected car functions. Under the hood, the Blaq Edition boasts a strong hybrid powertrain that combines a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine (91bhp) with an electric motor that produces 79bhp and 141Nm of torque.
Together, this strong hybrid system delivers a total output of 116bhp, paired with an e-CVT gearbox. The broader Grand Vitara lineup also features the AllGrip Select all-wheel drive and CNG variants. You can now book the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition at Nexa dealerships throughout India. In the competitive mid-size SUV market, you’ll find similar matte color options available in the Kia Seltos X Line, Skoda Kushaq in Carbon Steel Grey Matte, and the Volkswagen Taigun, all sporting that eye-catching finish.
