TTS Development Roundup: August 2025

Technology

The first 3 months of 2025 showed some positive signs in the travel industry with a 5% increase in international travel over Q1 2024 (UN Tourism). 14 million more passengers traveled abroad this year than the same period last year suggesting market resilience in spite of global economic and political concerns. The medical travel category continues to impress as rising healthcare costs and diminishing capacity drive demand. Other highlights in the industry are the continued adoption and implementation of AI technology in the travel industry. Newer and recent innovations have created opportunities for powerful tools in consumer facing and training related travel technologies. As the travel industry recovers and other industries contend with climate change, TTS spotlights 3 new technologies that offer benefits to both consumers and businesses.

medTOUR+assist: Conveniences and Benefits for Medical Travelers

As the demand for medical travel grows, so do the complexities associated with planning and executing medical journeys. Appointment planning, pre and post care checklists, foreign healthcare resources and localized navigation can be had at the touch of a button through the medTOUR+assist app, making it a valuable tool for before, during and after the medical trip. First version mockups and stylizations are available for evaluation. Please visit the medTOUR+assist microsite to access those evaluations.

ClimAIteTRACK: A Tool for Insurers and Their Clients

The debate regarding climate change rages on in different circles but for insurance companies, climate change is a real thing and it is changing the way insurers do business. ClimAIteTRACK is a new insurance management tool that provides region specific climate assessments and gradings for premium revenue management and to establish transparency and confidence between the insurer and their clients. ClimAIteTRACK uses a proprietary algorithm and data acquisition process to perform detailed historical and current climate analysis for a targeted area. The Environmental Assessment Grade (EAG) is used to adjust premiums accordingly and is an easy to understand grading system for clients to establish that coveted transparency. API requests framework and data acquisition processes are complete and are currently undergoing testing. A working sample should be available to the public by early August.

Powerful Tools for Businesses and Consumers

As the travel market ‘chugs’ along, the outlook for business travel is more robust as more companies show preference to face to face meetings and return to work mandates.

TTS has 2 additional projects in the pipeline:

PokkeTTREK, a trip tracker and mapper mobile travel application that offer benefits and conveniences to travelers and provides valuable marketing and preference insights to travel businesses
TripREMIT, a low resource payment technology that enables small and medium sized travel providers the ability to accept BITCOIN and ETHER as payment options
